On May 24, a cohort of high school students from Tustin Unified School District were honored for their achievements as a part of a fast-track partnership program called the Early College Pathway. Seventeen students from Beckman High School have spent the last two years taking dual-credit courses at their high school, earning college credit to transfer as juniors
Early College Pathway is a partnership that allows students to dual-enroll in college-level classes that are offered at the high school, and are taught by IVC professors. Irvine Valley College provides counseling and assessment services, and each student has an education plan that outlines the IVC courses they should take to set them up to transfer to their desired four-year university.
This year’s Early College graduates have been accepted to California State Universities, Universities of California and private schools, including University of Southern California, Chapman University and Rutgers University.
The Early College graduates also participated in IVC's commencement ceremony.
